The magicJack Plus is a revolutionary telecommuncations device that allows users to get unlimited local and long distance calls to the United States and Canada for just $29.95/year. magic Jack phone service is extremely popular and its parent company VocalTec is currently one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world with 2010 sales topping $100 million and users consuming nearly one billion minutes per month.
There has been a lot of talk about magic Jack customer service and people being upset that they can only be reached via online chat. We can certainly understand this concern and that’s why we took the time to do some deep digging to find out whether they really have a customer service telephone number or not.
After an exhaustive search we discovered a secret magic Jack customer service telephone number that nobody else seems to know about. When calling this line it states that it is their billing department so I’m not sure whether you can get technical support from it or not but hey, at least its a working number that allows you to speak with a real person.
Please don’t abuse this telephone number or magic Jack is likely to shut it down and then it will be ruined for everybody. If it is indeed only for billing don’t call in repeatedly trying to get technical support, more than likely if it is only for billing then the agents you get won’t have any technical know how to help anyway.
Magic Jack Information Line – (561) 594-2140 – This line is a recording that provides customer service instructions
Billing Support – (281) 404-1551 – This line is where we believe you can get a live person between the hours of 11am to 8pm EST Monday through Friday.
The magicJack is a revolutionary telecommunications device that allows users to get unlimited home phone minutes for just $19.95/year. The magic Jack is extremely popular and its parent company Ymax is currently one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world with 2009 sales topping $100 million and users consuming nearly one billion minutes per month.
The magic Jack looks very similar to a USB flash drive and is only slightly larger while working in a very similar fashion. All you have to do is hook the magicJack into your USB port, follow a simple automatic software installation process and you are ready to go. Once up and running you can either make calls directly through magic Jack’s on screen softphone or you can hook your traditional phone up to the magicJack by way of the phone jack port that exists opposite its USB port.
From a pure technological standpoint the magic Jack is actually quite different from a traditional landline but to the user it works just like a traditional landline phone in nearly every way with a few added perks that actually make it more convenient. It comes with all of the features that you have come to expect with your home phone including call waiting, caller ID, conference calling, voice mail, call forwarding, and much much more. Along with this comes added perks including being able to have voicemails sent to your email, free long distance calling, the ability to make calls without an actual phone, and the ability to take your magic Jack with you and make calls anywhere in the world that a high-speed Internet connection exists.
As referenced above the magic Jack costs just $19.95/year but your initial purchase will actually cost you $39.95. The initial fee is higher because it includes the magic Jack device for $20 and the first year of service for $19.95. Subsequent years of service can be added at anytime for the current rate of $19.95. The price for a year of service with magic Jack is incredibly cheap and averages out to about $1.66 per month or roughly a nickel a day.
The technology behind the magic Jack isn’t new and they aren’t the first ones to use it for telecommunications. They are just the first company to provide it as such a low cost. The magic Jack uses Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology which had been made most famous by Vonage. The only difference is that Vonage charges a monthly rate that is about the same as magicJack’s yearly rate.
At such a cheap price many people are skeptical of the magic Jack but we are here to tell you that the company is legitimate and their product is for real. There is a reason why they had sales of over $100 million in 2009 and that’s because the magicJack is an awesome product at an unbelievably low price.

- ~ Been using the original Magic Jack for 3 years
"Ron Robertson - I have been using the original Magic Jack for 3 years and really think it is great. It's nice being able to stick it to Bell Canada for their long distance charges. I have ordered the magicjack Plus and am looking forward to using it soon. I have heard that trying to "port" my existing Toronto # may not be possible to the magic jack plus? This may be a Canadian CRTC legal deal but I will try it out. Thanks for a great"
